New Look Information Leaflet And Poster For NHSSC

The Northern Health and Social Services Council joined forces with the other three HSS Councils in Northern Ireland to produce a new Guide to the Health and Social Services Councils and supporting poster.

The leaflet replaces individual Council general information leaflets and outlines the main functions of the Councils. For anyone who remains unsure about the role of the Health and Social Services Councils they exist to:

Act on your behalf to improve the range, type and quality of services
Continually monitor the quality of local services
Represent public opinion about changes to existing services and the introduction of new services
Find out what people think about services
Provide you with sources of information on health and social care issues
Offer advice and help if you wish to complain about a service

You are encouraged to use your voice to help us. Tell us what you need from health and social services, let us know if you are satisfied or dissatisfied with the care you or others have received and give us your views on proposed plans and changes to services.

Chairman Tom Creighton displays the new information leaflet, accompanied by Vice-Chairman Irene Johnston and
Member Beth Adger
